Gerd Schildbach

Gerd Schildbach (born March 30, 1918 - September 29, 2010 ) was a German entrepreneur.

Life

Schildbach was born as the third son of the entrepreneur Richard Schildbach. He studied medicine and did his doctorate at the Medical Faculty of the University of Innsbruck . After returning from captivity in August 1947, he joined his father's company. There he began to set up a department for insulated wires, which was named Elektrisola Dr. Gerd Schildbach was entered in the commercial register. Under his leadership, the company developed into the world's largest manufacturer of thin enamelled copper wires.
