The Elektrisola Dr. Gerd Schildbach GmbH & Co. KG is a globally represented company with headquarters in the village of Eckenhagen in the municipality of Reichshof in North Rhine-Westphalia and specializes in thin enamelled copper wires and high-frequency strands . Elektrisola is the world market leader in copper wires with a diameter of less than 0.15 mm and has an assortment with over 30,000 product configurations.

history

The company was founded in 1948 by Gerd Schildbach . The first branches in other European countries were founded in the early 1960s. In 1990 the first high-tech factory was founded in Malaysia near Kuala Lumpur .

Since 2005, the first production site in Yuhang, Hangzhou , Zhejiang , China , under the direction of Hangzhou Elektrisola Fine Wire Co. Ltd .

Elektrisola produces with 2,500 employees (2009) at eight locations in Europe, the USA, China, Mexico and Asia. Distribution takes place through offices and agencies all over the world.

Corporate structure

Elektrisola is active in 25 countries worldwide. In Switzerland, the Swiss stock corporation Elektrisola Feindraht AG has been producing thin and ultra-thin enamelled wires since 1968 .
