Gerd Simons (born October 20, 1951 in Offenbach am Main ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Simons came from the youth department of Kickers Offenbach to the senior team. From there he moved to the Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt in 1973 . At Eintracht he came to his first appearances in German professional football in the 1975/76 season . He made his debut on matchday 9, in a 1-1 draw against 1. FC Kaiserslautern . He was substituted on for Peter Krobbach by coach Dietrich Weise in the second half . During the season he played three more games. In the following year he played three more Bundesliga games and landed with his team, 2 points behind, on champions Borussia Mönchengladbach in 4th place in the table. In 1978 he moved to Kickers Obertshausen .
