Gerda Klimek

Gerda Klimek , also Gerda Trummer-Klimek , (born March 9, 1923 in Vienna ; † January 17, 2015 in Graz ) was an Austrian actress, author, cabaret artist, cabaret writer and composer.

Life

In her childhood, the daughter of a railroad employee often had to move with her family. The last stop was Leoben , where she worked as a dental assistant after graduating from school. She also trained in music and later attended a drama school in Graz. In Graz she was engaged for a short time at the regional theater there. For 25 years she then worked for ORF Styria on the radio and as a cabaret artist. She also wrote cabaret texts for z. B. Forum Zoo , Die Tellerwäscher and Die Gal (l) eristen - Graz ensembles, of which she was also a composer and performer.

She also wrote for newspapers, authored numerous books, moderated and organized events. She was also busy as a director and actress.

In 1952 she married the humorist Sepp Trummer (* December 7, 1921 in Graz, † August 5, 2020 in Graz), whom she had met while working as a dental assistant. The couple has two daughters.
