Gergely János Harsányi [ ˈɡɛrɡɛj ˈjaːnoʃ ˈhɒrʃaːɲi ] (born May 3, 1981 in Nyíregyháza , Hungary ) is a Hungarian handball player on the right winger position .
In the 2007/08 season he was under contract with Bundesliga club Frisch Auf Göppingen for one year before returning to his previous club, the Hungarian club PLER-Airport KC Budapest . After Harsányi ran up for Ferencváros Budapest in the 2009/10 season, he joined Tatabánya KC . In July 2018 he signed a contract with the Hungarian second division club Tatai AC.
At the 2007 World Cup in Germany , he was part of the extended squad of the Hungarian national team . At the handball tournament at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , he was fourth with the Hungarian team. Overall, Harsányi played 179 times for the national team and scored 399 goals. In the summer of 2012 he again took part in the Olympic Games in London .
