Gerhard Birk (theologian)

Gerhard Birk SVD (* 1938 ) is a German Catholic theologian .

Life

He studied in Sankt Augustin , Mödling , Rome and Munich . From 1972 to 2008 he taught as professor of kerygmatics ( catechetics and homiletics ) at the PTH St. Gabriel . From 1975 to 2003 he was a research assistant at the Religious Education Center in Bavaria , based in Munich, where he also lives. He gave guest lectures on selected topics of religious education at the Philosophical-Theological University SVD St. Augustin . From 1996 to 2005 he participated in the training of religion teachers in Lithuania .
