Gerhard Brenner (born August 13, 1929 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein , † August 24, 1981 in Saarbrücken ) was a German CDU politician .

Life

Brenner attended elementary school from 1936 to 1941 and high school from 1941 to 1949. After graduating from high school in 1949, he initially worked as a freelancer, then from 1950 to 1952 as an editorial volunteer, from 1952 to 1956 as a freelance journalist and from 1956 as an editor for the newspaper Die Rheinpfalz in Ludwigshafen. In 1954 he was a member of the board of the Palatinate District Association in the German Press Association of Rhineland-Palatinate.

In 1948 Brenner became a member of the JU and in 1950 a member of the CDU. 1954 to 1956 he was chairman of the JU Pfalz and member of the party executive committee of the CDU Pfalz. From 1956 to 1959 he was a member of the state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate . In the state parliament he was a member of the cultural policy committee.
