Gerhard Eberstadt

Gerhard Eberstadt (born June 17, 1934 in Hof ) is a German manager who was a member of the Board of Management of Dresdner Bank from 1988 to 1999 .

Life

Eberstadt grew up in Hof and graduated from high school. His professional career began as a bank apprentice at Rhein-Main Bank AG in Frankfurt am Main (after merging with Hamburger Kreditbank AG in Hamburg and Rhein-Ruhr Bank AG in Düsseldorf from January 1, 1957, Dresdner Bank AG). He completed his studies in economics at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and graduated with a diploma before joining the Berlin trading company and then the Merck Finck & Co bank .

Eberstadt joined in 1970 as managing director of Dresdner Bank Investment Management Kapitalanlagegesellschaft (dBi) in the Dresdner Bank Corporation a. From 1980 to 1988 he was its spokesman, from 1985 to 1988 he was also the spokesman for the management of the Deutsche Investment Trust Gesellschaft ( dit ). After joining the board as a deputy member of the Board of Management on May 1, 1988, he was the full member of the Board of Management for the investment banking and asset management business of Dresdner Bank. In 1999 he left the board and retired into private life.

Mandates

In addition to Dresdner Bank, he served the financial center for many years as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Eurex .
