Gerhard Fritz (born June 7, 1921 in Welmlingen near Lörrach , † September 19, 1984 in Sankt Augustin ) was a German CDU politician .

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Fritz, who was a Protestant , was drafted into military service. Most recently he was a lieutenant and company commander. From 1946 he studied economics, graduating in 1949 with a degree in business administration. He then became an assistant at the Economics Institute of the Mannheim Business School , where he received his Dr. rer. pole. received his doctorate. From 1952 he worked for the Palatinate Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ludwigshafen am Rhein , becoming its deputy managing director in 1957. From 1964 he was curator of the German Foundation for Developing Countries . Fritz was married and has two children. From 1981 until his death in 1984 he headed the senior expert service of the German Industry and Trade Conference .

Political party

Fritz joined the CDU and the Junge Union shortly after the war and took part in the development of the CDU's Evangelical Working Group .

MP

Fritz was a member of the German Bundestag from 1957 to January 5, 1965 . From 1961 to April 23, 1964 he was deputy chairman of the Bundestag committee for development aid.
