Gerhard Hetzl

Gerhard Hetzl (born May 22, 1971 in Graz ) is a psychotherapist in training under supervision, trainer in adult education, was a lecturer at the FH Joanneum in Graz and at the Bauakademie Linz. He was a bank clerk, in the private sector and in politics. From 2000 to 2002 he was a member of the Austrian National Council for the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) .

education and profession

From 1977 to 1986, Hetzl attended elementary and secondary school as well as the polytechnic course. He then graduated from the commercial academy and, after graduating from high school in 1991, began studying business administration at the Karl-Franzens University in Graz , which he obtained in 1998 with the academic degree Mag. Rer. soc. oec. completed. Since 2013 he has been training as a psychotherapist at the Karl-Franzens University Graz and the Danube University Krems.

From 1998 to 1999 Hetzl was a telecom consultant, from 1999 to 2002 a construction clerk, later a commercial clerk and is now employed at Volksbank Steiermark Mitte AG. He is currently in training to become a psychotherapist.

politics

Hetzl was Vice Mayor of Söding between 1995 and 2000 . From 1995 he was district party chairman of the FPÖ Voitsberg and from 1998 local party chairman. From 1998 he was also a member of the regional party executive of the FPÖ Styria. Between October 30, 2000 and December 19, 2002 he represented the FPÖ in the National Council. In the course of the split, he left the FPÖ, joined the BZÖ and was elected BZÖ district chairman of Voitsberg in June 2005. Hetzl then ran in the 2005 state elections and in the 2006 National Council elections , but then ended his political activity.
