Gerhard Kern

Gerhard Kern (born January 27, 1950 in Hettstedt ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 1990 to 1998 he was a member of the Saxony-Anhalt state parliament .

Education and life

After completing a 10-class school education, Gerhard Kern completed a two-year vocational training as a chemical plant builder and then completed a three-year engineering training course with a degree as a mechanical engineer . He worked as a design engineer and group leader at Ratiomittelbau and was chairman of the production cooperative of the craft .

Gerhard Kern, who is of the Roman Catholic denomination, is married and has two children.

Gerhard Kern has been a member of the CDU since 1973. After the fall of the Wall , he became district chairman of the CDU Sangerhausen in 1990 . Since the local elections in 1990 he was a member of the district council. He was directly elected to the state parliament in the first state election in Saxony-Anhalt in 1990 in the state constituency of Sangerhausen I (WK 48). In the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt in 1994 , he was re-elected directly to the state parliament in the state constituency of Sangerhausen (WK 33).
