Gerhard Kleinböck (born September 8, 1952 in Ladenburg ) is a German politician of the SPD . Since September 2009 he has been a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg .

education and profession

Gerhard Kleinböck attended the elementary school Ladenburg and completed his secondary school leaving certificate there. This was followed by training as an industrial clerk. On the second path of education he obtained his Abitur in Weinheim in 1974. This was followed by studying economics at the University of Heidelberg and business education at the University of Mannheim . In 1980 he passed his first state examination and in 1982 the second.

In 1982 he started teaching at the Martin Behaim School in Darmstadt. In 1995 he was promoted to Director of Studies and Head of Department. From 2009 to 2016 he was the headmaster of the commercial and vocational Friedrich List School in Darmstadt .

Political activity

In 1970 Gerhard Kleinböck began his political engagement with the Jusos in Ladenburg. In 1976 he then joined the SPD. From 1982 to 1989 and 2004 to 2011 he was a member of the local council in his hometown; from 2004 as parliamentary group leader. Gerhard Kleinböck has been chairman and district delegate of the SPD Ladenburg since 1994.

The education politician has been a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament since September 2009 . At that time he moved up as a second candidate in the Weinheim constituency for Hans Georg Junginger . Gerhard Kleinböck ran as a direct candidate in the Weinheim constituency for the 2011 state election . He was able to defend his mandate and entered the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg again.

In the state elections in 2016 , the citizens of the constituency re-elected him to the state parliament. There he is currently a member of the transport committee and deputy chairman of the committee for culture, youth and sport. The former headmaster is school policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group.

Since it was founded in 2012, Gerhard Kleinböck has been the state chairman of the Working Group for Education Baden-Württemberg (AfB) of the SPD.
