Gerhard Leibold
Gerhard Leibold (born January 21, 1945 in Oberstdorf ) is a German Roman Catholic philosopher .
Life
He studied philosophy and Catholic theology at the universities of Bonn , Bochum , Innsbruck and Munich . He obtained his doctorate in Christian philosophy in 1971, his habilitation in the same subject in 1980 and his doctorate in 1985 in Catholic theology. In his habilitation thesis he dealt with a comment by Wilhelm von Ockhams . From 1970 to 1980 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Christian Philosophy of the Theological Faculty of the University of Innsbruck. From 1981 to 1995 he was a research assistant at the Bavarian Academy of Sciences in Munich . Since 1995 he has been professor for Christian philosophy at the University of Innsbruck . In 2012 he retired .
