Gerhard Ringshausen

Gerhard Johannes Ringshausen (* 1939 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a Protestant theologian and religious educator . He dealt in detail with the church's resistance to National Socialism .

Life

From 1959 to 1968 he studied Protestant theology , art history and classical archeology at the universities in Frankfurt am Main, Tübingen and Göttingen. In 1964 he passed the first theological exam. In 1969 he became a student of art history at the Philosophical Faculty of the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen with the dissertation Madern Gerthener . Life and work of the documents to Dr. phil. PhD. The second theological exam followed in 1970. In 1976 he qualified as a professor at Faculty 7 of the Justus Liebig University in Gießen with the religious studies work From book illustration to teaching medium .

From 1977 to 1984 he was Professor of Protestant Theology and Religious Education at the PH Heidelberg . From 1984 until today he is Professor of Protestant Theology and Religious Education at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg . He made theological and historical research contributions, particularly on the church's resistance to National Socialism .
