Rüdiger from Voss

Rüdiger Hans Alexander Joachim von Voss (born October 14, 1939 in Potsdam ) is a German lawyer , publicist and historian .

Life

Voss was born in Potsdam in 1939 as the son of the professional officer and resistance fighter of July 20, 1944, Hans-Alexander von Voss . His grandfather Joachim von Stülpnagel was a general of the infantry. He studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , the University of Grenoble and the Georg August University of Göttingen . Rüdiger von Voss received his PhD from the Technical University of Chemnitz in 2016. phil. PhD.

From 1970 to 1974 he was a scientific advisor on the CDU Economic Council . From 1974 to 1976 he was department head in the office of the Secretary General of the CDU , Kurt Biedenkopf , in Bonn. Afterwards he was department head trade unions and associations in the federal management of the CDU under Heiner Geißler . In 1978 he became head of department at the general management of the Confederation of German Employers' Associations (BDA) in Cologne. In 1983 he took over the federal management of the Economic Council of the CDU. He also became a member of the CDU federal executive committee and in 1991 of the presidium.

He is honorary chairman of the Foundation July 20, 1944 and the Research Foundation July 20, 1944, which he founded.

Voss works as a lawyer in Berlin . He is married.
