Gerhard Sailer (politician)

Gerhard Sailer (born July 17, 1947 in Graz ) is an Austrian politician ( FPÖ ).

Gerhard Sailer was a co-founder of the right-wing extremist organization Aktion Neuerechte (ANR) in 1977 and was significantly involved in the campaign of the Ausländer-Halt movement and supported the list NO to the flood of foreigners . Sailer has regularly attracted attention through populist, xenophobic and anti-Israeli statements and thus belongs to the right wing within the FPÖ. He has close contacts with the right-wing extremist scene. He published several articles in the right-wing extremist monthly fakten of the small party critical democrats under the chairman and editor Horst Rosenkranz .

In 1987, Sailer became Federal Secretary of the Ring of Freedom of Business under Federal Chairman Hermann Eigruber .

From 2000 to 2007, Gerhard Sailer was Minister Secretary of Transport Ministers Michael Schmid , Monika Forstinger , Mathias Reichhold and Hubert Gorbach in the Austrian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology , where he was responsible for rail transport in Austria .
