Ring Freedom Business Owner

The Freedom Economy (FW) or the Ring Freedom Economist (RfW) is an Austrian business association and represents the interests of the Freedom Party of Austria in the Austrian Chamber of Commerce .

Federal chairman is Matthias Krenn , who is also Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce. Federal Managing Director is Ernst Lengauer.

history

It was founded on November 14, 1959. In the constituent general assembly, Karl Bartsch (chairman), Hans Rader, Emil van Tongel and Willfried Gredler were elected to the federal board. In the following years, regional organizations were founded in all federal states. At the beginning of the 1980s, the then RfW was involved in the development of the FPÖ economic concept Liberal Market Economy 90 under the then federal party leader Norbert Steger . 1985 saw the first nationwide candidacy for the Chamber of Commerce elections. In 1990 important successes were achieved nationwide with 14.8%, and in 1995 even with 21.3%. In the last Chamber of Commerce elections in 2015, the RfW was the third-strongest force nationwide with 9.4%, but was able to maintain second place in the federal states of Carinthia , Upper Austria , Styria and Tyrol . In Vorarlberg , the RfW ran together with the Wirtschaftsbund as part of the Vorarlberger Wirtschaft electoral community .

Alignment

According to the statutes, the association's goals are to maintain the principles of economic freedom, private initiative and free competition as well as guaranteeing the inviolability of property. Furthermore, the maintenance of a healthy middle class , the implementation of a balanced financial economy, relief and reduction of bureaucracy are required.
