Georg Hanreich

Georg Hanreich (born October 22, 1939 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian politician ( FPÖ ). From 1971 to 1979 he was a member of the National Council .

Life

After compulsory schooling, Hanreich attended the Bundesrealgymnasium in Schärding from 1949 to 1957 and then studied architecture from 1957 to 1961 at the Technical University of Vienna , where he graduated in 1961 with the academic degree Dipl.-Ing. completed. In addition, Hanreich studied business administration from 1961 to 1962 and passed the journeyman's examination as a carpenter in 1966.

Hanreich completed an internship abroad from 1963 to 1964 as a carpenter, technical draftsman and assistant director and worked from 1965 to 1978 in an interior construction company, where he was employed as a technician, authorized signatory and managing partner. In 1983 he joined the museum department of the Federal Ministry of Science and Research and from 1990 to 1992 took over the management of the Interministerial Commission on Museum Education. In 1990 he also took over the museum department of the Federal Monuments Office, from 1992 to 1995 he was "Secretary of ICOM-ICR". In 1992, Hanreich was promoted to head of the Department for Museums and Libraries of the Federal Monuments Office and in 1995 took over the agenda for the protection of cultural property according to the Hague Convention in the Federal Monuments Office. He was appointed Ministerialrat in 1986 and Hofrat in 1991.

Hanreich was a member of the professional association committee of the woodworking industry and federal economics officer of the FPÖ. He was active within the party as the regional party chairman of the FPÖ Lower Austria and was also involved as a member of the FPÖ federal party executive. In addition, he became chairman of the ring of liberal businessmen in Lower Austria in 1975 and subsequently from 1975 to 1977 federal chairman of the ring of liberal businessmen. He was also a board member of the Association of Austrian Industrialists and from 1972 Vice President of the Austrian Trade Association. He represented the FPÖ between November 4, 1971 and June 4, 1979 in the National Council.

Hanreich has made great contributions to the preservation, renovation and revitalization of Schloss Feldegg , which he bought in 1964. He is a member of the Innviertel Artists Guild .
