Gerhard Seicht

Gerhard Seicht (born August 28, 1939 in Graz ; † January 22, 2013 in Vienna ) was an Austrian university professor .

Career

In 1958 he passed the Matura at the Federal Trade Academy in Graz and then studied at the University of World Trade in Vienna. After receiving his doctorate, he began his career at the Vienna University of Economics and Business as an assistant, first with Leopold Illetschko , later with Erich Loitlsberger , where he qualified as a professor in 1969. 1970–1975 he was head of the business administration department at ÖIAG . In 1972 he was ord. University professor at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, initially on the chair for "Corporate Management" and from 1973 until his retirement in 2007 on the chair for "Business Administration in Industry".

With well over 300 publications, Gerhard Seicht took top positions for many years in various evaluations for the German-speaking area in the "Research Achievement" category.
