Gerhard Waibel (racing driver)
Gerhard Waibel (born December 17, 1958 ) is a former German motorcycle racer who was successful in the 1980s in the small class (first up to 50 cm³, later up to 80 cm³).
Waibel was German champion five times , won four Grand Prix races and took two second and five third places. In the motorcycle world championship Waibel was able to take third place after three fifth places (1984 to 1986) in 1987.
His brother Alfred Waibel (born August 4, 1957) was also a motorcycle racer and from 1979 to 1988 he was six times German champion in the 125 cc class.
