Gerhold Hinrichs-Henkensiefken , born Gerhold Hinrichs (born May 16, 1955 in Osteraccum ) is a German politician ( FDP ).

Life

Hinrichs was born in the East Frisian village of Osteraccum and graduated from high school in the neighboring town of Esens in 1974 . He then did his military service in Wildeshausen and Oldenburg . From 1975 worked as an administrative clerk and research assistant. In April 1980 he began studying economics at the University of Oldenburg . At the time of his final exam in September 1987, he came to the FDP as a successor in the Hamburg parliament ( 13th electoral term ).

Hinrichs-Henkensiefken has been an active member of the FDP Altona for over 35 years, including being treasurer and district chairman. In April 2003 he was elected as one of the two deputies of the state chairman Reinhard Soltau . Later he was Rolf Salo's deputy . After Salo resigned surprisingly, Hinrichs-Henkensiefken was elected provisional state chairman of the FDP Hamburg on February 20, 2012 . In March he ran as an internal party candidate for Sylvia Canel , but she narrowly prevailed against him and became the new party leader. After Ralf Lindenberg's resignation due to differences with Canel, Hinrichs-Henkensiefken was elected treasurer of the FDP Hamburg in June 2012. When Canel prevailed again in the election for state chairman in March 2013 (this time against Katja Suding ), Hinrichs-Henkensiefken withdrew, as did the two party deputies, from the state executive committee. At the state party conference in spring 2017 he was elected deputy state chairman.

Hinrichs-Henkensiefken works as a research assistant for the City of Hamburg. Among other things, he was head of the presidential department for the authority for education and sport until 2004. He is currently head of the Department for Ministerial Affairs, Project Management and Task Controlling of the State Sports Office (LSP 1) in the Ministry of the Interior and Sport .
