Osteraccum is a small town in East Frisia . It belongs to the municipality of Stedesdorf . The 6.88 square kilometer scattered settlement has about 50 inhabitants. It is located about 1.5 kilometers north of Stedesdorf and about three kilometers east-southeast of Esens at an altitude of about 3 meters above sea ​​level . history

Osteraccum is first mentioned in 1497 or 1498 in the will of the ruling family Kankena under the name Oesterackum . The place name is composed of the direction east and the basic word Accum , which in turn is composed of the nickname Acke and -um (= home).

Osteraccum was an independent municipality, which in 1972 was combined with Thunum , Mamburg and Stedesdorf to form the municipality of Stedesdorf.
