Germain Delavigne
Germain Delavigne (* 1. February 1790 n Giverny , † 3. November 1868 in Montmorency ), was a French poet , librettist and songwriter .
Germain Delavigne, brother of the famous lyric poet and playwright Casimir Delavigne , has made a name for himself as the author of vaudeville and opera texts . Along with Eugène Scribe he supplied the librettos for Muette de Portici , the snow and Giacomo Meyerbeer's Robert le Diable and Huguenots .
