Gero Debusmann
Gero Debusmann (born November 3, 1943 in Bensberg ) is a German judge and former president of the Higher Regional Court (OLG) Hamm .
biography
After studying law from 1964 to 1969 at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster , the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen and the Ruhr University Bochum , which he graduated with the first state examination in 1969 and the second state examination in 1973 , he was employed in 1974 Judge service of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The appointment as a judge for life after the end of his trial reporter time took place as a judge at the regional court in Essen . In 1983 he moved to the Ministry of Justice of North Rhine-Westphalia as a consultant , but in October 1983 he returned to the regional court (LG) Essen as presiding judge. In December 1987 he was first Vice-President before he was appointed President of the LG Essen in 1990.
On January 1, 1996, he was appointed President of the Higher Regional Court (OLG) Hamm , the largest OLG in the Federal Republic of Germany with almost 700 employees . In March 2002 he was also appointed a member of the Constitutional Court for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (VGH NRW) . Debusmann is also co-editor of the North Rhine-Westphalian Administrative Gazette (NWVBl.).
During the official assessment of a judge subordinate to him in proceedings 12 K 1040/04 and 12 L 192/05 before the Administrative Court of Gelsenkirchen with the subsequent proceedings before the Higher Administrative Court of Münster 1 A 712/05, suspicion of perjury was raised against him. On reaching the age of 65, he retired on November 30, 2008. There was already a legal dispute in advance about the upcoming successor as President of the OLG Hamm.
