Gerrit Alexander Pressel (born June 19, 1990 in Hamburg ) is a German football player . He primarily plays as a left defender , but can also be used in midfield .
Career
Pressel came from Bramfelder SV to the youth of Hamburger SV . From January 2009 the 1.80 meter tall defender was active in the regional soccer league for the second team of HSV. In December 2010 he was in the Bundesliga squad of HSV due to injury concerns, but was not used in the top division.
On February 1, 2011 Pressel moved to the Netherlands on loan until the end of the season. Here he made his debut on February 6, 2011. In the 1: 7 defeat in Groningen , after Andreas Granqvist from Groningen and Arjan Swinkels from Tilburg had already seen the red card , he was the third player to leave the field prematurely because of a yellow-red card when the score was 4: 1. By the end of the season he was used six times in the Eredivisie ; Willem II was relegated to the Eerste Divisie .
After he was only used in the second team at HSV in the 2011/12 season, Pressel moved to Holstein Kiel in the summer of 2012.
