Gert Sudholt

Gert Sudholt (born March 6, 1943 in Munich ) is a German publisher and publicist. He was second chairman of the u. a. Society for Free Publication eV, classified by the protection of the constitution as a right-wing extremist society and is a Holocaust denier and owner of the publishing company Berg , which unites three publishers under one roof, Türmer-Verlag, Vowinckel-Verlag and Druffel-Verlag .

Life

After graduating from high school, he completed journalism training in South and South West Africa. He then studied history, newspaper studies and ethnology in Munich, where he received his doctorate in 1973 on The German Native Policy in South West Africa: From the Beginnings to 1904 .

From 1973 to 1983 and from 1985 to 1991 he was chairman of the Society for Free Journalism , from 2001 to 2009 he was deputy chairman. Between 1988 and 1990 he was also the second chairman of the Rudolf-Heß-Gesellschaft . Sudholt has headed the Berg publishing house since 1991 , which publishes, among other things, the historical revisionist magazine German History .

Sudholt was sentenced to a fine in 1990 for the publication of an article by Robert Faurisson denying the Holocaust in the German monthly magazine . In the appeal proceedings in the same matter, the Bavarian Supreme Court sentenced him in 1992 to a fine of 10,000 DM plus six months in prison, which he began in July of the following year. In January 1999 Sudholt was again sentenced by the Starnberg lay judge for sedition to a fine of 4,000 DM and a four-month prison sentence, which was suspended on probation. He had offered the book Uns Does Not Guilt , published in Konstanz, for sale. In it the thesis was put forward that the Jews were incorrigible and had to answer for the Holocaust themselves.
