Gert von Kunhardt (born July 18, 1939 in Stuttgart ) is a former German modern pentathlete . Today he is a health trainer.

Life

Von Kunhardt was a member of the national team from 1963 to 1966. After completing his active career, he worked as a sports director in the Bundeswehr .

He has been working as a somatologist since 1986 , since 2002 a juror at McKinsey for prevention programs and a master's trainer in the professional association of German preventologists and the German Society for Obesity Self-Help. In 2008 he was appointed Senator hc in the Health Senate of the Professional Association of German Preventologists. Together with his wife Marlén, he organizes seminars and trains health trainers. He developed the principle of subjective underload in order to prevent excessive demands in recreational sports and coined the term “jogging”, a “strolling” variant of jogging. Kunhardt lives in Malente .
