Gertrud Berry

Gertrud Helene Therese Berry (born January 4, 1879 in Breslau , † after 1926 ) was a German film and theater actress.

Life

Berry attended the secondary school for girls in Leipzig and Charlottenburg and received acting training from Olga Morgenstern and Oskar Höcker . She made her stage debut in the role of Alwine at the Lessingstheater in Berlin in Ludwig Anzengruber's play Heimfind . This was followed by engagements in Breslau at the Lobe Theater as well as at the Deutsches Theater Berlin and the Small Theater Berlin. Berry also worked at the Varitée and cabaret.

Berry came to film in the 1910s. She starred in several films with Anna Müller-Lincke as well as in 1921 alongside Erika Glässner in The award-winning Spielratte .
