From the 16th to the 19th century, the Schlachte emerged as the port of Bremen. Around 1870 the port operations on the Weser - Schlachte promenade were closed. In this area of the Schlachte there were mostly two- to four-story gabled houses. The houses were largely destroyed in World War II. The reconstruction on the upper level of the battle took place from around 1948 to mostly 1955 and also around 1960.

The four-storey, clinkered corner house with a hipped roof , the bay window from the first floor was built in 1955 as a commercial building. The house is directly opposite the heavily damaged in the war, but preserved and rebuilt Martini Church . The new building therefore had to be adapted accordingly in terms of design.
