Gessenhausen is a district of the municipality of Taching am See in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein and is located at the northeast end of the Tachinger See . Around 100 people live there. Gessenhausen is the third largest district in the municipality after Tengling and Taching. The chapel standing in the middle on a hill catches the eye . The Gessenhausen Tower Hill is 1100 meters southwest of it . Gessenhausen is very rural.
