history

In 1573, a leprosy house and hospital (community hospital) was opened in Kreuzgasse in Zell am See . In 1871 the Sisters of Charity took over and looked after the community hospital. The current location is in the Thumersbach district , where the Zell am See hospital has been located since 1976. In 2014 the foundation stone for a modern clinic was laid with the renovation and expansion of the house.

The hospital in Mittersill has been mentioned in a document since 1908 as "Asylum for sick and needy people". After renovation in 1960 and the extension in 1968, it will now be expanded into a health center in modern architecture by 2023. The focus is on an extension and the modernization of the existing building.Template: future / in 3 years

Establishments

Corporate structure of the Inner Mountains Health

As the umbrella of the operating group, the GI operates and coordinates the individual facilities:

The Tauernklinikum GmbH operates two hospitals in Zell am See and Mittersill. The two locations include a total of eight medical departments and one specialist area. In addition, Tauernkliniken GmbH acts as a teaching hospital for all Austrian universities. With over 23,000 inpatient treatments annually, the Tauern Clinics in Zell am See and Mittersill are the first point of contact for patients in the region. As one of the largest employers in the Pinzgau, with around 900 employees and 330 systemized beds, they ensure clinical care for the population and tourism.

The Ritzensee Private Clinic operates the Ritzensee Private Clinic. The Ritzensee private clinic in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer was a catering business until 1985. The planning of the private clinic began in the winter of 1986 under the name “Sanatorium Ritzensee” and construction began in April 1988. On February 10, 1989, the Ritzensee sanatorium was opened by the Governor of Salzburg, Wilfried Haslauer . In the summer of 2002 the Ritzensee sanatorium was renamed the Ritzensee private clinic. The privately run Austrian clinic was renovated and the company logo of the private clinic was redesigned. At the end of 2003, the municipality of Zell am See acquired the shares in Privatklinik Ritzensee GmbH. With this step, the collaboration with the Zell am See hospital was expanded. The Ritzensee private clinic was renovated again in summer 2012.

The ThauernTherapie GmbH supports using techniques of physiotherapy and occupational therapy in curing impairments of the musculoskeletal system, in alleviating damage to the nervous system and the diseases of internal organs and in the treatment of mental health problems.

The Tauern Diagnostics GmbH , located at the private clinic Ritzensee is in contact to the hospital Zell am See and supports the departments in the clarification and patient investigation. In cooperation with the Zell am See Hospital and the Society for Digital Diagnostics, radiologists can use magnetic field resonance tomography and computed tomography with 64-line CT.

The Holiday dialysis Zell am See GmbH allows dialysis tourists to take these supplies to complete.

The TauernAkademie is responsible for the education and training of GI employees and their referring physicians (resident doctors who assign their patients to a specific hospital). She also trains nurses in the health and nursing school. These include nursing assistants, nursing assistants and qualified nurses.

At the Gesundheitszentrum Pinzgau GmbH , each doctor on the team has a specialty in which he mainly works. It is therefore common for critical patients to work together in a team. This team offers individually tailored medical care, from preventive examinations and individual vaccination plans to diagnostics and surgical interventions.

The Tauern Infrastructure GmbH guarantees the non-medical operation of the GI operations. This includes the kitchen, technology and parts of the administration.

The day care center can be used by GI employees.

Every year, more than 100,000 people receive medical treatment and training in the various facilities. In addition, services in the field of therapy and diagnostics are provided. Around 950 employees generate around 70 million euros annually.

education

The GI runs the TauernAkademie, in which all nursing and medical assistant professions are trained and advanced training courses for doctors are organized.
