Geverhart Elmenhorst
Geverhart Elmenhorst (* 1583 in Hamburg ; † 1621 there ) was a German scholar , author of hymns and arranger of post-classical Latin authors and early church fathers .
Life
Geverhart Elmenhorst was the son of the sheet dealer Gevert Elmenhorst, who immigrated from Buxtehude in Hamburg in 1554 , was elected to the City Council of Hamburg in 1578 and died in 1586. He died without offspring. He is an unrelated bearer of the names Hinrich Elmenhorst and Wilhelm Elmenhorst .
