Weightlifting Bundesliga

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The weightlifting Bundesliga is the highest league in German weightlifting for teams.

mode

The weightlifting Bundesliga is divided into the groups South, Middle and North, in which a master is determined in each round, who then compete against each other in the final battle to find the German team champion. In each group five teams compete against each other, so a total of 15 teams belong to the 1st Bundesliga.

For the 2011/12 season, the three-part league will only be divided into two groups, south and north. For this purpose, the best point performances of the clubs of the current season are used as a reference, which clubs remain in the top division and which are forcibly relegated.

Competitions

For each team, six athletes can be included in the rating at a competition. Two additional jacks can be reported as replacements, which can be substituted in in case of injury before tearing or before bumping. A team needs at least five lifters to take part in the competition. Men and women lift in a team.

Since there are no weight classes in the Bundesliga, the relative rating was developed in order to be able to compare the performance of the athletes of different levels. A relative deduction, depending on the body weight, is deducted from the raised duel load. There are different relative deduction tables for men and women. The added points of the lifters represent the team result. In the 2009/10 season the highest number of points achieved by a team was 910.0 relative points, that of a lifter 190.0 points and that of a lifter 145.0 points. The average performance in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga was 87.1 relative points.
