Weightlifting
The weightlifting department was founded in 1973 by Anton Hecht. As early as the 1980s and 1990s, the first team picked up in the 1st Bundesliga. After relegation in 1993 you entered the 2nd Bundesliga. Several times you could win the championship in the group south, but renounced promotion. It was not until 2008 that the promotion rights were exercised and in 2008/09, after 15 years, they returned to the 1st Bundesliga for the first time. With a very young lifting team, they reached 3rd place in the south group, and came second in the following year . The 2nd team lifts in the 2nd Bundesliga.
