The Alastaro Circuit is a motorsport racetrack in Loimaa , Finland .

The circuit is named after the former municipality of Alastaro (now part of the city of Loimaa ), on which the circuit was adjacent.

The paved permanent circuit is 2,721 meters long and 12 to 15 meters wide and is driven clockwise.

Part of the facility is also a long straight for dragster races , as well as gravel tracks for rally evaluation tests , rally sprints and Jokamiehenluokka races (German everyone's race; better known under the term Folkrace , which is commonly used in Sweden ). Up until 2006, rallycross competitions were held here sporadically , when the venue was known under the name Alastaron Moottorirata .

The Folkrace track is around 1.8 kilometers long, the rally special stage can be extended to a length of 10 kilometers, the rally sprint track is run in different variants and is up to 4 kilometers long.

In summer and winter, various motorsport activities take place on the racetrack grounds, including circuit races, truck racing , motocross races, motorcycle and sidecar races , tractor pulling competitions , dragster races and driving courses.

From 2015 to 2018, the racetrack was a venue for runs of the former Northern European Formula 4 Championship .
