Ghalym Aschimov

Ghalym Äbichanuly Äschimow ( Kazakh Ғалым Әбиханұлы Әшімов , Russian Галым Абиханович Ашимов Galym Abichanowitsch Aschimow * 24. August 1968 in Karaschal , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician .

Life

Ghalym Äschimow was born in Qaraschal in 1968 . He graduated from Sheqazghan University in 1999 with a degree in economics .

From 1987 to 1989 he did his military service in the Soviet army . In the following two years he worked for the mining and processing company Schairemski. From 1991 he was also politically active by leading the committee of the Komsomol , the communist youth organization of the CPSU , in the company. He also rose to management positions in the company. In 2000 and 2001 he was the mayor of the city of Sheirem in the Karagandy region . He then worked for Orken until 2005 and then again for Schairemski. Here he was head of the logistics department and assistant to the company's president. Between 2010 and 2013, Äschimow was Äkim (mayor) of his hometown Qaraschal. On March 19, 2013, he was appointed head of the administrative authorities of the Karagandy Region. Later he also held the position of Deputy Äkim (Governor) of the Karagandy Region and head of the Regional Ministry of Industry and Innovative Development of the Karagandy Region. On August 7, 2015 he was appointed Äkim of the city of Temirtau .
