Gharm ( Tajik Ғарм ) is a settlement in Tajikistan and the administrative seat of the district of the same name, subordinate to the republic (nohija) Gharm . It is located on the right bank of the right Wachsch source river, Surchob , almost 70 km above the Rogun Dam, which is currently under construction on the Wachsch .
Through the settlement, the highway A372 which km about 30 runs downstream from the Pamir road (M41) Dushanbe - khorugh branches and as part of European route E60 further up the Surchob to Kyrgyzstan follows and through the southern part of the border with the People's Republic of China leads .
In September 2010, 20 soldiers were killed in a rebel attack on a Tajik army convoy in Gharm .
