Gheorghe Rădoi

Gheorghe Rădoi (born May 6, 1926 in Parincea , Bacau district ; † 2001 in Bucharest ) was a Romanian politician of the Romanian Communist Party PMR (Partidul Muncitoresc Român) and from 1965 PCR (Partidul Comunist Român) .

Life

After attending the mechanical faculty of a polytechnic institute, Gheorghe Rădoi worked as a car and tractor mechanic and in July 1947 became a member of the then Romanian Communist Party PCR (Partidul Comunist din România) . Between July 1953 and August 1, 1960, he was general director of the Steagul roşu factory in Braşov . At the Seventh Party Congress of the PMR (December 23-28, 1955) he became a member of the Central Committee (ZK) of the PMR, to which he initially belonged until June 13, 1958. After that he was only a candidate for the Central Committee between June 13, 1958 and June 25, 1960. At the same time he became a member of the Grand National Assembly (Marea Adunare Națională) in 1957 and was a member of this until 1961 as a representative of the Prejmer constituency until 1961 and as a representative of the Zărneşti constituency no. 6 from 1961 to 1969.

On August 1, 1960 Rădoi Vice Minister of Heavy Industry and held this position until 31 October 1963. After he dissolved on 31 October 1963 at the Cabinet Maurer I Constantin tuzu as Minister for engineering industry (Ministrul Industriei construcţiilor de Masini) from and held this office until March 19, 1965. In the subsequent Maurer II cabinet , he acted between March 19 and August 21, 1965 as one of the vice-presidents of the Council of Ministers (Vicepreşedinte al Consiliului de Miniştri) . At the ninth party congress of the PCR (July 19 to 24, 1965) he was again a member of the Central Committee of the PMR and was a member of this body until August 12, 1969. He then became director of the Autobuzul plant in Bucharest on August 21, 1965 .

Gheorghe Rădoi has received several awards for his services and in 1945 received the Victory Medal (Medalia "Victoria") and the medal for liberation from the fascist yoke (Medalia "Eliberarea de sub jugul fascist") . In 1964 he was honored with both the Order of Labor Third and First Class (Ordinul Muncii) and the Order of August 23, First Class (Ordinul August 23) .
