The Ghori Parbat (also Gauri Parbat ) is a 6708 m high peak in the western Himalayas in Uttarakhand ( India ).
location
The Ghori Parbat is the direct northern neighbor of the 19 meters higher Hathi Parbat . It towers over the head of the Valley of Flowers . The Banke Glacier , which flows northwest into the Valley of Flowers, approaches its west face . The Ghori Parbat is located in the southern part of the Kamet Group in the Nanda Devi National Park .
First ascent
The Swiss André Roch , Fritz Steuri and David Zogg made the first ascent on August 18, 1939.
