Ghostrider's MC

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ghostrider's MC was a German motorcycle club that was incorporated into the Bandidos on November 21, 1999 .

history

The Club Ghostrider's MC first existed in the Netherlands since 1972 . A couple of friends who rode motorbikes together in Gelsenkirchen visited the club in Brunssum . The friendship with the club members gave rise to the idea of founding their own club. At the end of the 1970s a department of the club was founded in Gelsenkirchen and after half a year of Prospect the first chapter ("local association") was established on German soil. In the 1980s, the club expanded in Germany. According to their own statements, the Ghostriders were "one of the largest and most famous motorcycle clubs (MC) in Germany" in their time. They had a rivalry for years with their namesake, the Ghost-Riders MC . In contrast to these, however, their color was yellow. The club logo was a yellow skeleton. The Federal Criminal Police Office classified the Ghostrider's as a criminal organization.

On November 21, 1999, the 14 chapters of the Ghostrider's MC joined the Bandidos. The two clubs had been friends for years. Initially, the new Bandidos chapters were run as “ prospect chapters ”, ie “Bandidos on trial”. On June 3, 2000, the former Ghostrider's then finally became Bandidos. Both the media landscape and the law enforcement authorities saw a direct connection with the move from Bones MC to Hells Angels Germany a year earlier . It was feared that the Scandinavian rocker war would spread to Germany. The rockers themselves asserted that there was no connection and that “no escalation” was going on from the Bandidos in Germany.
