Ghost Riders MC

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ghost-Riders MC , not to be confused with the Ghostrider's MC , was a German motorcycle club . He went on April 21, 2001 in the Outlaws MC .

history

The Motorcycle Club Ghost-Riders MC was founded in 1973 in Kitzingen by US GIs . The club chose a skull with wings as the symbol and black on a white background as the lettering. Not unlike the color of the outlaws, this skull also bore the name “Charly” (but with “y” instead of “ie”). In 1974 a chapter followed in Stuttgart. By the late 1970s, the MC had grown to four chapters and by the mid-1980s there were nine chapters. The club became known in the rocker scene for its large and well-organized rallies . In 1977 and 1979 they organized the so-called Presi-Rally , a meeting of the presidents of the various clubs to clarify problems and make appointments. In 1992 the club hosted the Biker Jamboree , a music event with numerous hard rock bands such as Saxon , Gotthard , Motörhead , ZZ Top and Canned Heat .

For decades there was a risk of confusion with the German club Ghostrider's MC, whose club color was yellow. Both MCs were considered rivals for years. The Ghostrider's MC, however, switched to the Bandidos in 1999 . The Ghost Riders, on the other hand, switched to the Outlaws MC, which previously did not exist in Germany, on April 21, 2001 with the 400 members of all 30 chapters. The reason given was a long friendship with the British Outlaws Midlands MC (who was not officially accepted into the Outlaw Nation until 2000 ).
