Price rally

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Presi-Rally was a major event of the German rocker scene, which was used to make appointments and to clarify problems. It took place from 1974 to 1999 and mostly consisted of a meeting of the presidents of various motorcycle clubs and the actual rally in which ordinary club members could also take part.

history

The initiative to make an appointment came from the Nuremberg Iron Horses MC , who organized the first meeting together with the Frankfurt Lawmen. The meetings were used to arrange common rally dates, but also to resolve internal problems. From 1983 two members of the rocker magazine Bikers News were present, who were often given the lead of the interview, but who were also often criticized at the same time. In 1986, following the Presi meeting, the initiative to found the Biker Union was taken.

The number of visitors to the rally fluctuated strongly, with rallies with up to 9,000 visitors in which up to 350 motorcycle clubs took part. In some years there was only one meeting. The south of Germany was usually more strongly represented at the meetings, especially the MCs from the state of Bavaria. After German reunification , efforts were made to integrate the former Eastern clubs as well, but they have been holding a similar meeting for years under the name of Party Planning East .

In the 1990s, the rally lost its importance. A rally was announced for 1999, which was to be organized by the MC Werratal from Wasungen ( Thuringia ). Regional MCs from the new federal states prevented this rally by threatening the organizing MC. The background was probably the fear that the MCs from the old federal states would try to displace the regional clubs by forming chapters. The MC Werratal finally canceled the appointment, so that from 1999 onwards there were no more rallies.
