The Cavemen MC is one of the oldest German motorcycle clubs . It has existed since 1968.

history

The club was founded in 1968 by US soldiers stationed in Zweibrücken with four German friends. After the garrison was disbanded in 1970 and the soldiers were transferred to Ramstein Air Base , the club also changed its location. The meeting point was initially an old, disused military bunker in Kaiserslautern . The motto of the club was

"Born on a mountain, raised in a cave, bikin 'and fuckin' is all we crave."

"Born on a mountain, raised in a cave, motorcycling and fucking is all we strive for."

- Cavemen MC

After being primarily active within the army at first, over the years they began to open up to the outside world and began to gain a foothold in the rocker scene . At the end of the 1970s and 1980s in particular, there were more conflicts within the scene. In 1981 there was a shootout at a party in Zweibrücken, in which a wife of a Cavemen member was shot. This led to a reorientation of the club. Charities began to be important and since then various rallies and runs have been organized irregularly , such as toy runs ("Toys for Tots") and blood rallies ( to collect blood donations ). The first Blood Rally was well attended with three thousand visitors. The Cavemen hosted the so-called Presi-Rally five times , most recently in 1996.

In contrast to many clubs, the Cavemen MC only has a few chapters, currently there are four: Ramstein, Lebach , Trier and the City Crew. The club house of the Mother Chapter is currently located in Schönenberg-Kübelberg . The club's logo or color is the red head of a “caveman”.

Reception in the scene

The Cavemen MC is considered a peaceful rocker club whose major events “Presidential Rally”, “Toys for Tots” and “Blood Rally” as well as larger parties are frequented by hostile MCs such as the Hells Angels and the Bandidos .
