The Gißübelturm in Lauingen , a town in the Swabian district of Dillingen on the Danube , was part of the former town fortifications . The defense tower , next to the house at Oberes Brunnental 16, is a protected monument .

description

The four-storey round tower on the southeast corner of the city wall was built around 1413. It is dominated by the Lauingen Castle with its towers. The four-story tower has a pointed conical roof . There are loopholes under framed rectangular panels on the two upper floors . A two-tiered eaves cornice runs under the roof .
