Giammaria Visconti di Modrone

Giammaria Visconti di Modrone (born March 7, 1935 in Rome ; † December 3, 2015 in Vigolzone ) was an Italian entrepreneur and functionary from the Visconti family .

Career

After completing his law degree, Visconti di Modrone entered the service of the partly family-owned pharmaceutical company Carlo Erba in the early 1960s , where he rose to become a member of the board. Under his leadership, the company took over the Società alimentari Grazzano Visconti and entered the grocery business. In the following years he worked as a functionary for various agricultural organizations, including as regional chairman and member of the Italian- wide board of Confagricoltura .

Between 1962 and 1968 Visconti di Modrone, whose grandfather Giuseppe Visconti di Modrone had been President of Inter Milan between 1914 and 1919 , was a member of the club's board of directors under President Angelo Moratti . When his son Massimo Moratti took over the club in 1995, he returned to the board as vice-president. In 1998 he resigned, from 2005 on again to serve on the board of directors under Giacinto Facchetti until his death the following year.
