Giampaolo De Dominici (born January 16, 1680 in Naples , † 1758 ibid) was an Italian actor , musician , singer and composer .

The son of the painter Raimondo De Dominici (known as Il Maltese ) was Andrea Belvederes' drama student ( Abate Andrea ), whose drama company he belonged to until his death in 1732. He then joined the acting troupe of Baron De Liveri and after his death moved to a group led by Duke Carlo Carafa .

In addition to his talents as an actor, De Dominici was also gifted as a musician and composer. In the season 1739–40 he received a salary of 40 ducats as a musician at the Teatro San Carlo . He is known to have three operas that were performed between 1719 and 1724 at the Teatro dei Fiorentini . The British Library owns the manuscript of a cantata Son tradito by "Gio. Paolo di Domenico" from 1706, and in 1763 the Breitkopf publishing house offered three oboe concerts by the composer "Domenico". Both could be works by Giampaolo De Dominicis, as well as an aria from the Recueil lyrique d'airs choisis des meilleurs musiciens italiens collection published in 1722 .

De Dominicis' brother, Bernardo De Dominici , author of the work Vite de'pittori, scultori ed architetti napoletani , became known as a painter like his father.
