Gian Antonio Castelli

Gian Antonio Castelli (* around 1570, † around 1640) was a Swiss plasterer .

Gian Antonio Castelli, who comes from Melide , partly worked with his brother Pietro Castelli. It is not yet known whether and how the various plasterers, sculptors and wood carvers Castelli from Melide TI and Lugano are related to one another. According to a contract from 1606, the two brothers carried out numerous works in the Wettingen monastery . According to sources, there are also works for the court church in Neuburg an der Donau, for the Munich Residence , the ballroom at Spiez Castle (1614–1615) and works for the Lucerne Franciscan Church (1626).
