The Spiez Castle is a castle in Spiez on Lake Thun in the Swiss canton of Bern .

The lower part of the keep dates from the 10th century. The castle was originally owned by the von Strättligen barons , and from 1338 by the von Bubenberg family . In 1516 it came to the von Erlach family , who resided here until 1875. In the ballroom there are early baroque stucco work by the Ticino artist Gian Antonio Castelli from 1614. Hermann Karl von Wilke, grandfather of Tilo von Wilmowsky, was the owner from 1875 to 1900 . The castle has been owned by a foundation since 1927.

The early Romanesque castle church, formerly consecrated to Saint Columban , was donated by King Rudolf II of Hochburgund and placed under the parent church of some . Here is Sigmund von Erlach buried.
