The Chnebelburg , Bern German for Steckenburg or Pfahlburg , on the Jäissberg near Bellmund in the canton of Bern in Switzerland was a castle complex made of earth and wood that dates from the High Middle Ages .

The castle complex had an oval shape and covers an area of about 135 × 60 m. It was surrounded by an earth wall with a palisade .
There are no written sources for the castle complex, many indications that the complex had already disappeared in the 13th century and was not renovated with stone like many other castle complexes.
The Chnebelburg is listed in the Swiss inventory of cultural goods of regional importance (B objects) under KGS no .: 601 .
