The Worb Castle is a castle in the municipality Worb , Canton of Bern , Switzerland .

It was built for the barons of Worb, who are first mentioned around 1130. In 1146, Duke Konrad I of Zähringen held court on their manor. From them the castle passed to Johann von Kien in 1329 and, after his death in 1352, to the von Diesbach family, who became known primarily through Niklaus von Diesbach (1430–1475). The castle was rebuilt after a fire in 1535.

At the end of the 16th century, the Worb rule belonged to three co-owners and was further divided up in the following years, until in 1668 Christoph von Graffenried (1603–1687) was able to reunite all parts. His nephew was Christoph von Graffenried (1661–1743), the founder of the New Bern colony in North Carolina . The von Graffenried family owned the estate until 1792, after which a community of heirs sold it to Johann Rudolf von Sinner . After several changes of ownership, the castle is still in private hands today.

In the baroque residential building from the 17th century can be seen a peasant glass collection, and in the Bel-floor rooms find with painted canvas wallpaper.

The castle is privately owned and not open to the public.

The late Baroque New Worb Castle was built next to the old castle after 1743 .
